Hello everyone,
During this year, I had to decline many requests from people who wanted to use the bot to track some subreddits. I had to do so because of a number of reasons, mainly because:
- the bot was mistaken for a data-hoarding tool, which is not what the bot is meant to be
- I've been requested to add features and functions I don't have the time to add
- the bot had to track some subreddits I don't want the reddit accounts I'm using to be linked to
For the people who had their channel request refused, I've decided to publish the
bot's sourcecode: it can now be self-hosted by those who want to tweak it, or to use it to handle a large amount of reddit submissions. Please make sure to read the disclaimer at the end of the readme: the bot comes with no guarantees, and might be a pain to tweak and customize
The readme also includes a minimal guide on how to configure channels and subreddits
