The recent issue of Ethics & International Affairs, a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal published by Cambridge University Press on behalf of the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, featured an essay written by Jonathan Berker, executive vice president, vice president for academic affairs, and professor of political studies at Bard College and vice chancellor of the Open Society University Network. In the essay, Jonathan Beker analyzes the liberal arts and sciences as an international reform movement, which is now under siege. Smolny's case is also being considered.
