Translation
From wherever the mind wanders due to its flickering and unsteady nature, one must certainly withdraw it and bring it back under the control of the Self.

Purport

The Bhagavad-gita (06.26) states that we need to train our mind by steadily refocusing on purificatory spiritual practices so that it becomes calmer, and gradually stops making so many time-wasting propositions.

One-sentence summary:

Just as we watch the time we give to others, let us watch the time we give to our mind.

Bhagavad Gita 10.32

sargāṇām ādir antaś ca
madhyaṁ caivāham arjuna
adhyātma-vidyā vidyānāṁ
vādaḥ pravadatām aham

Translation

Of all creations I am the beginning and the end and also the middle, O Arjuna. Of all sciences I am the spiritual science of the self, and among logicians I am the conclusive truth.

Explanation

By our own endeavour we can't know lord as creator, maintainer and destroyer of this whole creation. That's why lord himself telling to us about him he is the conclusive truth of our hankering.
To understand this will have to read scriptures and practice. Like for knowing nature of electron first we read books and then practice it's behaviour through numericals, activities, observations and experiments.

Bhagavad Gita 16:24

tasmac chastram pramanam te
karyakarya-vyavasthitau
jnatva sastra-vidhanoktam
karma kartum iharhasi

Translation

One should understand what is duty and what is not duty by the regulations of the scriptures. Knowing such rules and regulations, one should act so that he may gradually be elevated.

Explanation

Alll the rules and regulations of the Vedas are meant for knowing Krsna. If one understands Krsna from the Bhagavad-gita and becomes situated in Krsna consciousness, engaging himself in devotional service, he has reached the highest perfection of knowledge offered by the Vedic literature.

Bhagavad Gita 10.09

mac-cittā mad-gata-prāṇā
bodhayantaḥ parasparam
kathayantaś ca māṁ nityaṁ
tuṣyanti ca ramanti ca

Translation

The thoughts of My pure devotees dwell in Me, their lives are fully devoted to My service, and they derive great satisfaction and bliss from always enlightening one another and conversing about Me.

Explanation

Thus, Krishna is the endless end of all knowledge — he is both the purpose and conclusion of all knowledge.
