Xiaomi announces changes in Bootloader Unlocking Policy for Global and Indian devices

Xiaomi has updated Bootloader Unlock Rules for its HyperOS-eligible devices

1) Bootloader unlocking permission will be required through the Xiaomi Community App.
Application Portal will go live soon with Application 'Rules'.

2) Users will NO longer receive Xiaomi HyperOS updates if they leave their devices unlocked.
To receive HyperOS updates, users will need to 're-lock' devices on MIUI 14

As a "Human-centric" OS designed & tailored to connect personal devices, cars, & IoT products in an ecosystem, Xiaomi HyperOS places a "paramount focus on security"
