Interestingly, I upgraded the new Monkey gift to an NFT (it initially had no upgrade option). I bought the gift in the last round (they were giving out around 80–100 gifts), and when I upgraded it to an NFT, I got number #81.
This suggests that the NFT number might depend on your auction bid and the round you won in. Also, the upgrade was free for me.
