How Do We Breathe?

👆🏻 Alveoli are tiny sacs located at the ends of tubes in the lungs, and directly connected to the blood. Gaseous exchange occurs through the alveoli.

When air reaches the lungs, oxygen is dissolved into the blood through the alveoli, while carbon dioxide passes into the lungs, to be exhaled from the body.
