Developers quickly responded by releasing an update the same night to fix the ad-blocking tool for the platform. Everything is working perfectly again now.

In case you haven’t updated or if the issue persists:

➥ Desktop: Settings > Shields > Content filtering > Update lists button (or go directly to brave://settings/shields/filters)
— Go to brave://components and click "Check for Update" next to "Brave Ad Block Updater" so it updates to 1.0.9653 or later. Then refresh your YouTube tabs.

➥ iOS: Settings > Shields & Privacy > Content Filtering > Update Lists button

➥ Android: Settings > Brave Shields & privacy > Content filtering > UPDATE button
