Knives
This will be a multi-part write up on Knives, made in conjuction with a good friend of HL
(Disclaimer: Get accustomed to the Blade Laws of your region/localities and to those that you travel too. Never break the Law, never carry a Blade that is prohibited. Don't be a retard. It's a stupid thing to get hemmed up for.)
(Page 1)
When it comes to knives, there's no one size fits all. Different knives have different applications. Whether it's skinning a deer, cutting rope, survival/bushcraft or self defense, you will find some knives perform better at certain tasks than others.
Also, it's usually understood that a knife makes a poor choice for a main defensive weapon. Its main purpose is typically used as a tool, with the ability to use it as a backup weapon if necessary. But there are definitely sentry removal techniques and the occasional need for a silent weapon, such as a knife, but those are far from the every day use.
