But first...
"Wooden bridges are vulnerable and require a major effort and expense to replace. They can be burned but it takes more than a can of kerosene and a match. A huge pile of dry firewood must be heaped up under the load carrying timbers of the bridge to sustain a fire of sufficient heat and duration to burn a soggy old bridge. Fill the available dry area under the bridge, or crib up a log platform covered with dirt, sand, or rock on which to lay the fire. Several arm-loads of small stuff, topped with progressively larger limbs and finally logs should be crammed right up to the underside of the timbers. After the small stuff burns a little and the fire collapses, you should stoke it with big limbs and logs and stuff the openings with branches. Then you can walk away confident of the results."

Our next topic will be about upper explosive limits (UEL) and lower explosive limits (LEL) and how they pertain to using a gaseous fuel to either cause a combustion or explosion

Thomas Sweatt is a convicted serial arsonist. One of the most prolific arsonists in American history, Sweatt set over 350 fires in and around Washington, D.C., most of which occurred in 2003 and 2004. Following his arrest in April 2005, Sweatt admitted to setting fires for more than 30 years. Sweatt often tossed incendiary devices into police cars and then watched them burn. Each time he set a fire, he used a similar gadget: he would fill a milk jug with gasoline and plug the opening with a piece of clothing that served as a wick. The wick burned plastic for more than 20 minutes and after the fire consumed the container, gas fumes escaped and caught fire.

I heard there was once a remarkably successful arsonist who torched hundreds of structures before being caught. I hear his method was nearly foolproof. I heard that he would fill a rubber balloon with gasoline and hang it over a lit wax candle by a string and give it a push. I heard the balloon would eventually come to rest over the candle and pop, igniting the gasoline. I also heard there wasn't any evidence accelerant was used in the resultant fire because the materials he used were all flammable and burned up into nothing. I hear the only reason he was apprehended was because he bragged around town about his crimes and once arrested confessed to the police and didn't refuse to speak without a lawyer present.

I don't condone his actions
