Christian National Socialists (an oxymoron) claim that the NSDAP was a thoroughly Christian organization.
To verify this we need to examine the head members of crucial departments within the NSDAP, and in particular we will examine the chief editor for the Official NSDAP Party Newspaper the Völkischer Beobachter
The man in question is non other than the vehement anti-Christian Alfred Rosenberg
Not only did Hitler appoint him to party editor in 1923, Rosenberg stayed chief editor throughout the entirety of the Reich (12 entire years on top of pre-Party power) which brings Hitlers moral integrity into the foreground if he was truly a “Christian”
Rosenberg included subtle attacks against Christianity in the Volkischer Beobachter and in his public speeches given throughout 1934-1941
His most famous anti-Christian literary work is the Myth of the Twentieth Century published in 1930 which sold over 1 million copies in the Reich (in comparison to Adolf Hitlers Mein Kampf which reached a total of over 12 million copies sold)
This book was never rescinded, restricted, or banned within the entirety of the Third Reich’s 12 years of existence even with the Editors Law of October 4th, 1933 as “Schriftleitergesetz” which restricted dozens of Christian publishing’s
On February 7th, 1934 Rosenberg’s book was officially included into the Index of Forbidden Books by the Pope
Rosenberg’s book was never restricted, Rosenberg himself was never punished, while Adolf Hitler frequently contacted him which opens up the question...
Was the NSDAP really Christian?
