🟢 Monad dropped a "Privacy is coming" teaser ahead of the Open Summit (October 6, Singapore, Token2049) - no technical details yet. At the same time, StraitsX announced native issuance of XSGD and XUSD on Monad by 2027: XSGD would be the first SGD stablecoin on the network. MON moved +15% in 24 hours.
🟢 NEAR Intents lost $3.8M through a vulnerability in the link between Omni infrastructure and the smart contract - service was halted immediately. Alex Shevchenko said the attacker had been identified and on October 2 issued a 48-hour ultimatum with return addresses across Bitcoin, BNB Chain, and Solana. Per ZachXBT, the funds were converted to BTC via KuCoin.
🟢 Blast L2 is shutting down: operating costs outpaced revenue, no sustainable path forward. TVL collapsed from a $2B peak (June 2024) to $32M, monthly revenue now sits at $1,793 against a $3.5M peak; the token is down 98% from launch. Asset withdrawal deadline: October 26.

Mandiant and SlowMist are investigating; losses are covered by the User Protection Fund.
The market is starved for sales: 9,688 participants committed $48.6M toward a $3M ceiling - roughly $5K per person on average, with $JUMP utility still officially undisclosed. For every dollar committed, allocation is around 6 cents, and who gets how much depends on Legion score.
Blast shows the other side of that hunger: $2B TVL at peak, assembled on points incentives, left with the farmers - and the revenue the chain needed to survive never materialized. NEAR Intents recovered the funds quickly, but without a public post-mortem on the Omni vulnerability, calling that gap closed is a stretch.

The hacker replied with 1 BNB (~$780) and a note: "Ready to cooperate, send a Signal contact." Then, before the deadline expired, returned all ~$3.8M. NEAR Intents declared the investigation closed. How the team identified the attacker in under 24 hours was not disclosed.
