🔸 In 2024 about 5.050 illegal immigrants arrived to Crete and adjacent islands, in 2025 (until now) there have been around 17.650, a 249% increase in just one year
🔸 This is due to the fact that smugglers have been successful in transporting illegal immigrants to the island of Gavdos south of Crete and due to the illegals not being deported the destination became popular among smugglers
