Hello, Nongkies. Happy first anniversary. I can't believe we've been standing here for a year but I'm really proud of how far we've come. Thank you so much for staying since your first day here until now. Your existence really means a lot to me.
TBH, at first I didn't expect us to be this close. This project was made for fun only and also to motivate me to keep writing. I thought our group wouldn't be this loud but it turned out I was wrong. Now, you are one of those that I consider my home, my family. I have told you about this; I'm afraid of the pressure that told me to look after all of you meanwhile you know I'm the type of person who would disappear when I need time to be alone and I often take a rest or hiatus all of sudden. But again, you reminded me that I'm not alone, you are here to look after each other, to protect each other. Hence, I'm really thankful for that. Sometimes, I still worry but seeing you become so loud, seeing you talk and have fun with each other, is enough to remind me that there's nothing to worry about.
I'm not lying though, I love you all so much, equally. Sometimes I randomly think about “Ayl kira-kira lagi ngapain ya di Nongkies?" or "malem-malem gini harusnya Ayl lagi nonton bareng anak Nongkies sebelum tidur" and anything else. :D That's because you made me think that.. Nongkies exist both here and in real life. It sounds exaggerating, I know. But sometimes, when I feel lonely, I can feel the loudness that Mahes, Zibran, and Nadine share when they fight against each other or when Dombret becomes the main topic of their conversation. I can feel the relief given by Candace, Shasha, Ibuns Aly, Pp Ian [yes, because I still think he's still with us] after they gave me a solution or listen to my stories. I can feel the hype brought by Virno after he started calling us with that ‘Nder’ thingy. I can feel the smartness possessed by Rara and Mahrez when they started sharing their knowledge and opinions about anything. I can feel the joy after I think about you—about Arfa, Tama, Bara, Hael, about all Nongkies members whether they are old members, the new ones, or even our ex members.
So ... thank you so much for all the memories we have shared in the past year. Thank you for making me smile and laugh a lot. Thank you for staying here. Thank you for everything. I love you.
