💎 Telegram drops Tonviewer

Telegram has changed the explorer used for opening on-chain links inside the messenger. Tonviewer is out, Tonscan.org is in. The timing is almost too good: just hours before the switch, Tonviewer was spotted showing a massive casino banner right on its homepage.

🔝 What changed
⚫️ Telegram replaced Tonviewer with Tonscan for TON on-chain links
⚫️ The change appeared in Telegram AppConfig
⚫️ Tonviewer was previously the default explorer for opening TON links
⚫️ Shortly before the switch, Tonviewer showed a large crypto-casino banner on its main page
⚫️ Tonscan now gets the Telegram-side visibility that Tonviewer used to have

🔝 Why it matters
⚫️ Telegram does not want its native crypto flow landing users on a casino-covered explorer
⚫️ Explorers are not just tools anymore — they are part of the user experience
⚫️ With Gram Wallet rolling out, every TON link inside Telegram becomes more important
⚫️ If Telegram sends users somewhere, that service becomes ecosystem infrastructure
⚫️ Tonviewer just learned that being default is not a right, it is a privilege

TON keeps moving closer to Telegram’s main interface, and Telegram is clearly cleaning the route. If your explorer looks like a casino lobby, do not be surprised when the traffic gets redirected.
