French top general Fabien Mandon just confirmed what many suspected: the next-generation battle tank project with Germany has collapsed.
🗣️ "The outcome isn't good. We had hoped to build a future tank with the Germans, but we have to acknowledge that the Germans have withdrawn."
🏭 MGCS involved: KNDS France, KNDS Germany, Rheinmetall, Thales – years of delays, disputes, political tensions.
✈️ This follows the collapse of FCAS – the Franco-German future fighter jet program – just months ago.
