The US Congress on the Future of Ukraine: John Mullinar's Address to the RIU Forum
At the end of August, the "Ukraine Tomorrow" forum, organized by the Institute for the Restoration of Ukraine (RIU), will be held in Kyiv. One of the first participants to address the forum was
US Congressman John Mullinar, a Republican and Chairman of the House of Representatives' Select Committee on the Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party. In a video address to the forum participants, he highlighted the shared values of the two countries: "Ukraine and the United States share important fundamental values: **freedom, democracy, and the rule of law.**"
The Congressman also emphasized the very idea of the forum – uniting for a shared vision of the future: **"This reminds me of the founders of our country, who 250 years ago were thinking about what America could become."
And he concluded by stating that
he considers the partnership between the countries to be strategically important: "A safe and prosperous future for Ukraine is in the interest of all of us."
RIU is a project that unites supporters of conservative values and forms its own vision for the post-war development of the country. Its head and co-founder, Svitlana Fabrykant,
formulates the project's philosophy concisely: "Conservatism is, above all, freedom."
