Wait til he hears about Capitalism.

If I sometimes go hard against various subspecies of e-cowards, online big mouths who hide behind anonymity while always demoralizing and never doing anything productive or useful for the cause, it's because I constantly have the example of better men before my eyes and the possibilities that do exist.

You're only going to live your own short life for 60-80 years, maybe 90 if you're lucky, but the record of the actions of your life will stand for all time. You're given this narrow moment of existence in between a sea of eternity before and after you, how you spend that moment determines the honor and dignity of your existence which will stand forever and is more valuable than anything—and nobody will ever be able to take it away from you, even long after your death.

"The Caine Mutiny" (1954) is one of the best meditations on power, authority and responsibility ever put to screen. It's a film I frequently recommend to anyone engaged in organizational work within the so-called movement, because it shows how someone without responsibility can undermine authority inside an organization and how, if unchecked, this can lead to catastrophic consequences.

I think any organization to be taken seriously has to develop a culture of taking personal responsibility. This doesn't mean accepting blame for things that are not your fault, but it does mean that whiners, complainers, plotters, shit-stirrers and those who only come to life when there is drama need to be ruthlessly shamed by the entire organization.

Nobody is perfect and everyone makes mistakes; the decisive factor in the success or failure of an organization depends not whether a leader does everything perfect at all times, but how lieutenants and subordinates handle mistakes, i.e. whether they show a "constructive loyalty" or instead go to work subtlety corroding and undermining the structure of authority from within. And in all things the only man who should be respected is the man who takes personal responsibility—one who is not prepared to back up his words with actions, show a better way, and set the example for everyone else should either be silent or not be taken seriously, shamed and if necessary removed from the organization.

As an old mentor of mine used to say, "lead, follow or get out of the way!" This movement has very few true good leaders and, proportionately, even fewer good followers—and good followers are just as crucial, if not more crucial, to the success of an organization than good leaders. But the "movement" does have plenty of people who don't want to lead or follow, but very much like to get in the way. People like this have no place in a fighting movement—and when we get to the point when such people are shunned and kicked out, that will be a real sign this movement is worth taking seriously.

Operating a bot farm used to be a massive financial and technical headache, requiring physical hardware (computers, phones), ample electricity and cooling, complex network/IP/proxy management, and custom coding and engineering know-how. Running bot farms was the privilege of governments, big companies and other moneyed malign actors. Not anymore.

Manus AI, a new autonomous agent built by Chinese-founded, Singapore-based AI startup Butterfly Effect, can operate up to 50 social media profiles simultaneously using just one virtual dashboard. The platform includes a free tier, and paid ones running for as little as $20-39 a month.

🎛 Despite gaining viral notoriety for its bot farming potential, the agentic software is actually general-purpose, allowing non-technically savvy users to build web applications and sites, mobile apps, create images, do research, analyze data and do an array of workflow and business automation functions – all at a fraction of the cost that enterprise clients pay US competitors.

Meta tried to buy Butterfly Effect for ~$2B in late 2025, but got blocked by Chinese regulators on national security grounds.

It was bad enough when states and corporations were actively contributing to the creation of a dead internet with their troll armies. Now, every Tom, Dick and Harry with an internet connection has the chance to do the same, with social media giants powerless to stop it.
