PIUS XII AND THE DANCING SUN
---
According to Ven. Pius XII himself, he witnessed the phenomenon of the dancing sun while in the Vatican Gardens. He described the sun as an "opaque sphere" that "moved outward slightly, either spinning, or moving from left to right and vice versa. But within the sphere, you could see marked movements with total clarity and without interruption.“ Coincidentally, before becoming pope, he was consecrated bishop on May 13, 1917, the day of the first apparition of Mary in Fatima, where, five months later, many people also saw the sun “dance.”

SAINTS CARRYING THEIR OWN HEADS
---
Cephalophores or “head bearers” are saints who, according to legends, were beheaded and were able to pick their heads up. Examples of cephalophores are St. Denis of France, St. Quiteria, St. Aphrodisius, and St. Himerius (Gemolo), who, for being able to still ride a horse after being beheaded, was probably the inspiration for the tale of the “Headless Horseman.”

OCTOBER 9: HE PICKED UP HIS SEVERED HEAD
Saint Denis of France
Bishop and Martyr
Died: 250
---
He was a bishop and martyr. He was appointed as the first bishop of Paris. He was very effective in converting the people. This caused jealousy among the pagan priests in the land who had him and his companions (a priest and a deacon) arrested. They were imprisoned for long time before he was beheaded. Legends say that after his beheading, his headless body stood up. It picked his head up and walked back to the Church.

SAINTLY INSPIRATION

Due to some controversies, he was exiled from Lucca. He was assisted by St. Philip Neri who also gave him a pet cat.
---
St. John Leonardi, please make this a joyous Caturday and make my cat very happy through the benevolence of the most Holy Trinity. Amen.

After Secretary Hegseth announced that the execution of Nidal Hasan, a Muslim terrorist, will be livestreamed, public execution has been effectively revived in the United States. That said, you might not know it, but the last person to be publicly executed in the USA was Catholic, and his last words are a testament to why capital punishment is righteous:

"To ask anyone to forgive me is too much. Death itself is not so bad, but the record a person leaves behind him may be. To die accidentally is easy, but when you come to it gradually, it is hard. If you feel I am paying my debt like a man I am glad."

Feeling genuine guilt for his actions, he confessed his sins and was forgiven, administered forgiveness by a priest in his last moments, and decided to say that. Can you deny that he truly went to Paradise?

“With the Rosary, the Christian people sits at the school of Mary and is led to
contemplate the beauty on the face of Christ and to experience the depths of his love."
