🗓 Three U.S. macro releases land inside two days
A timeline of three dates:
• 29 September, 10:00 New York — JOLTS job openings for August
• 30 September, 08:30 New York — personal income and outlays for August, with the PCE price index
• 30 September, 08:30 New York — the third estimate of U.S. GDP for the second quarter
The first date was set by the Bureau of Labor Statistics; the other two sit on the Bureau of Economic Analysis calendar. Both agencies fix the hour in advance and do not move it on the day.
PCE is the price index the Federal Reserve leans on in its own inflation projections. If you are holding leverage, knowing those half-hours in advance beats reading the candle afterwards.
