“At the beginning of the merciful season of Great Lent, we appeal to you, asking the merciful Lord to have clemency on His world.
We appeal to you to express our deep sorrow, heartfelt solidarity and condolences to the victims of the terrorist attack in Moscow last night. We pray to the Lord to keep you in good health and peace and to protect the Russian Orthodox Church and the Russian people from all evil.
We pray to the Lord to have mercy on the souls of the deceased, to give healing to the wounded and to give comfort to your hearts, and the hearts of the relatives of the reposed. In His infinite mercy, may He grant comfort and peace at this time of deep loss.”
