#️⃣ How many short words are left?

Over nearly four years of Fragment’s existence, more than 5,500 four-character usernames have been minted. More than half of them are meaningful existing words.

👨‍💻 We compiled a list of real words that still haven’t been minted and are available on Fragment. The final list contains more 1200 words (words, brands, names ans other categories).

Some examples from the list: @guys @meal @herb @elsa @disk @cruz

Today, maison.ton listed several usernames for sale for the first time in three years, some at discounts of more than 50% compared to their purchase prices — and they were bought immediately.

While some resellers hate @elector for the prices he sets on his assets, Elector simply waits.

🛍 @config has just been sold — the top holder bought it three years ago for 500 TON (~$1k).

Six months ago, he listed the username for sale and hasn’t taken any action since.

😳 We contacted the seller — he was surprised by the sale himself. According to him, he had completely forgotten about the listing and doesn’t even follow the market.

NFT usernames on Fragment, such as @aaaa, @bbbb, @cccc, @dddd, and others, have been banned. The full list is here.

This follows the U.S. DOJ freezing over $52M in crypto linked to Xinbi Guarantee — the Telegram-based Chinese marketplace behind these usernames and $24.2B in transactions since 2022.

🌀 Bug or feature?

Telegram now appears to allow more than 10 NFT usernames to be linked to a single account.

It is currently unclear whether this is an update or a bug. We were able to link 20 NFTs, after which the error “Sorry you can't activate more 10 usernames” appeared.

One user, @gaffer, managed to link 50 collectible usernames.
