🇩🇪 WALTHER VON BRAUCHITSCH
October 1881 – October 1948
Walther von Brauchitsch was born on October 4, 1881, in Berlin, Germany. Coming from an aristocratic Prussian military family, Brauchitsch pursued a military career and joined the German Imperial Army as a young officer. During World War I, he served in various roles, honing his strategic skills. In the post-war period, he continued his service in the Reichswehr, the army of the Weimar Republic.
In 1938, he was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the German Army (Heer) by Adolf Hitler.
