Much is being made of the recent election of Giorgia Meloni to the highest seat of office in Italy, both from the left who sees her victory as a return to Fascism, and from the right who hold out hope that they are right. Despite the fact that her voting record leaves little to be desired, (vaccine passports for example), and statements fawning over Israel, the real issue with this politician is just that, she is a politician.
All of them are beholden to the rules of the global democratic system, they can poke and prod and skirt the line a bit to be sure, but ultimately they adhere to the continuation of this system by their participation. A system which has as its core principle the destruction of all we hold dear.
I contend this does nothing but placate the masses who find in the election of "based" politicians a renewed faith in the parliamentary governments of their respective countries. This can never yield the results that are necessary in order for a new world to be fashioned unburdened by modernity, because this course of action presupposes the continued existence of modern democratic government.
To those who believe the potential benefits to the average Italian, wether they be financial, demographic, religious, etc., are the real prize here I ask this: Is it truly a step forward to have in office someone who merely pays lip service to our ideas? How is this not merely a delaying of the inevitable rolling over the skulls of every European who decries the destruction of their people? At best this election can only delay a few material issues, in the way that a terminally ill patient is given drugs to ease the burden of death, and even then only for as long as the party remains in power.
We live in a time where the governments of our countries are
explicit in their disdain for our people and
implicit politics can no longer suffice. Softly suggesting that you would prefer your people not be subject to genocide, your culture mocked and erased, and your traditions be labeled a blight upon common decency can produce only half-steps and half-hearted measures.
We know what needs to be done, and we know that it will not happen in the temples of democracy.
