Dear Siamese Cats,
We are happy to announce a first ever joint event between Philosophy Club "Vox" and SIAM!

Mathematics is a language of nature, and everything around can be represented through math. But is it true? A crucial and unresolved issue in the philosophy of mathematics is whether mathematical notions are creations of the human mind or exist independently of it. Math raises deep philosophical questions that are yet to solve.

However, our math depends on certain fundamental properties, axioms that are always assumed to be true (1+1 always equals 2, for example). Can we say that these basic properties will always be valid? Can we see what is beyond these axioms?
A philosophical examination of mathematics can show its aesthetic beauty and ability to shed light on the universe's complexities, advancing our knowledge of how human intellect interacts with the basic principles of reality. Sounds complicated, isn't it? Then come ready to discuss!

Dear siamese pies,
We are happy to invite you to the last "Pi Week" event - the "Integration Bee" competition🐝!

Solve some funny integrals, have fun, and win prizes!

Rules:
Players fight each other 1 vs 1, solving the integral within 4 minutes. There will only be indefinite and definite integrals with 1 variable. A participant who solved the integral faster will be eliminated to the next round.

To show the solution to the integral, the player must circle the answer and raise their hand. If the answer is incorrect, the other player can solve the integral in the remaining time. If both players fail to solve the integral, the next integral is given until someone has solved the
integral correctly🤩

It is not necessary to add +C
It is not necessary to shorten your answers.
You cannot express the answer as another integral expression.

Dear Siamese cats, we are happy to invite you to celebrate the greatest day ever - the Pie Day!
Next Tuesday 3.14 from 12PM till 4PM

But what kind of Pie Day would it be, if we would not share some yummy pies with you! However, since we do not have an infinite amount of pies (although we might have it in our usual setup), we have to share them with those people that love Pie (now we mean the number) the most! Therefore, the more you know, the more likely you will get a pie!

Apart from this, we will have other activities that you might find fun! (I will not spoil it, since it’s better if you see it in person!)

Mark it down on your calendars, tell all your friends, family, your dog, everyone, because Pie Day is coming!
