“OVER-EXFOLIATE”
Apa jadi bila skin kita dah over-exfoliate? One of the effects macam dalam video ni. One of my followers tanya how to treat. Since dia dah terover exfoliate kat kawasan hidung tu aje.
Some classic signs yang skin dah over-exfoliate :
- Skin irritation
- Redness
- Inflamed skin
- Weaken Skin barrier
- Burning sensation
- Peeling
- Breakouts
- Increased sensitivity to other products in your routine
Bukan takat tu je, skin akan jadi extra drying, menggelupas, ada dry patches. Banyak cara nak treat skin bila kita dah over-exfoliate. Antaranya :
Over-exfoliation recovery 101!
- Stop all high pH cleansers, any retinol products, any actives & stop all physical & chemical exfoliators
- Switch to a mild low pH non-drying cleanser & do not skip moisturiser & sunscreen!
- Untuk area yang dah over-exfoliate, or area yang dah extremely dry/inflamed/patchy, make sure korang hydrate & moisturise that area more. Suggestions, korang boleh cuba apply produk with rich emollient ingredients.
- Add on hydrating toner, moisturiser (if u need to reapply, reapply a few times a day), sheet mask. Basically anything yang hydrating & moisturising to skin.
Bila skin dah start recover, slowly boleh add on balik exfoliator dalam routine. Jangan ditch terus exfoliating products korang tu. Sebab skin still perlu di exfoliate at least seminggu sekali untuk buang sel kulit mati pada skin. Make sure this time jangan over do & exfoliate 2 kali seminggu je pun dah ok ye Cik Salmah 😘.
