🟩 | Important Statement by Hamas:
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
The treacherous attempt by the Zionist occupation to assassinate the negotiating delegation of the Hamas movement today in the Qatari capital, Doha, is a heinous crime, a blatant act of aggression, and a flagrant violation of all norms and international laws.
This crime represents an assault on the sovereignty of the brotherly State of Qatar, which, alongside sister Egypt, plays an important and responsible role in sponsoring mediation efforts aimed at halting the aggression, reaching a ceasefire agreement, and arranging a prisoner exchange. It once again exposes the criminal nature of the occupation and its desire to undermine every opportunity for an agreement.
We affirm the enemy’s failure to assassinate the brothers in the negotiating delegation, while a number of our brothers ascended as martyrs to the highest ranks of glory. They are:
• Martyr Jihad Labad (Abu Bilal) – Director of Dr. Khalil al-Hayyah’s office
• Martyr Humam al-Hayya (Abu Yahya) – Son of Dr. Khalil al-Hayyah
• Martyr Abdullah Abdul Wahid (Abu Khalil) – Office
• Martyr Muamen Husuna (Abu Omar) – Office
• Martyr Ahmed al-Mamlouk (Abu Malik) – Office
We also mourn Martyr Corporal Badr Saad Mohammed al-Humaidi, a member of the Qatari Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya).
We pray that God envelops them in His vast mercy and grants them the highest place in His Paradise.
The targeting of the negotiating delegation, at the very moment it was discussing the latest proposal of U.S. President Donald Trump, confirms beyond any doubt that Netanyahu and his government do not seek any agreement. Rather, they deliberately work to sabotage every opportunity and undermine international efforts — disregarding the lives of their prisoners held by the resistance, the sovereignty of states, and the security and stability of the region.
We hold the U.S. administration jointly responsible with the occupation for this crime, due to its continuous support for aggression and for the crimes of the occupation against our people.
This crime has proven that the Zionist occupation is a looming danger to the region and the world, and that Netanyahu seeks to erase our national cause and our people’s rights, pushing them toward forced displacement, while continuing his criminal schemes of genocide, ethnic cleansing, starvation, and expulsion.
We, in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), call upon the nations of the world, the United Nations, and all living forces and free consciences to condemn this criminal aggression against the brotherly State of Qatar, to act urgently to pressure the occupation to halt its war of extermination and ethnic cleansing, to grant justice to our Palestinian people, and to support their legitimate right to freedom and self-determination.
This cowardly assassination attempt will not alter our positions or our clear demands, which are: the immediate cessation of aggression against our people, the complete withdrawal of the occupation army from the Gaza Strip, a genuine prisoner exchange, humanitarian relief for our people, and reconstruction.
We affirm that these terrorist crimes will not break the resolve of our movement and leadership, nor will they deter us from holding firmly to our people’s national rights and continuing on the path of resistance until the occupation is removed from our land and our independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital is established.
