DEVELOPING! The search is on for a convicted murderer who escaped custody while arriving for a court appearance Monday morning in Kern County, California.
Authorities say they are still looking for Cesar M. Hernandez after he ran away from the Kern County Superior Courthouse around 10:45 a.m. Officials say Hernandez is 5-foot-5 and weighs about 160 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair and was last seen wearing an orange top and pants.
Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or to contact CDCR Lieutenant Anthony Sotello at 661-721-6300 ext. 5506.
