The police in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district have arrested a 24-year-old man and apprehended his minor brother for allegedly molesting a minor girl and attempting to rape her on Friday night.
The local police lodged the FIR based on the girl’s mother’s complaint. She claimed that her daughter had gone to a mosque looking for her brother, who was a student at the madrasa there.

They found her inside a room where the minor accused was also spotted in bare minimum clothes, she alleged.
Dozens of local residents gathered at the mosque and tried to beat up the brothers, who were rescued by the police and taken to the local police station.
