▫️State Department says more than 250,000 visas revoked
WASHINGTON — The State Department said it has revoked more than 250,000 visas during President Trump's second term in office from foreign nationals who have violated the visa terms or committed crimes.
The visas were revoked for various violations, including foreign nationals who called for violence against the U.S. or Americans, defrauded U.S. citizens, abused the immigration system, endangered national security, violated the terms of their visas, and committed crimes, a State Department official told Fox News on Wednesday.
Of the 250,000 visas revoked, 2,300 were in connection with birth tourism, which is when pregnant foreign nationals travel to the U.S. to give birth so their child automatically receives citizenship.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested and charged 42-year-old Timothy Chaneyfield, the pastor at St. James United American Free Will Baptist Church in Central Florida.

A Louisiana man who was smuggling illegal immigrants at the time of a 2023 crash that left four people dead has been sentenced to life behind bars.
Rassian Comer, 21, was sentenced last week in San Angelo, Texas, according to KCBD-TV.
Comer pleaded guilty in June to one count of conspiracy to transport illegal aliens resulting in death, 11 counts of transportation of an illegal alien resulting in death, and one count of possession of a stolen firearm, the Department of Homeland Security said in a news release.

▫️Alabama Rep, Satsuma school board president charged with human trafficking, sheriff says
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Ala. - An Alabama state lawmaker and a school board president are now facing human trafficking charges, Escambia County Sheriff Heath Jackson confirmed with FOX10 News.
State Rep. Brett Easterbrook, a Republican who represents District 65 — covering Washington County and parts of Clarke and Baldwin counties — and Kory Wesley, president of the Satsuma City School Board, were booked into the Escambia County Detention Center on Oct. 2, Sheriff Heath Jackson confirmed to FOX10 News.
Jail records show Easterbrook is charged with first-degree human trafficking and prostitution. Wesley is charged with first-degree human trafficking and attempting to elude a police officer. According to the Escambia County jail log, Easterbrook and Wesley were arrested on Friday, Oct. 2, around 3;30 p.m. It is unclear when Easterbrook and Wesley will appear in court.
Law enforcement officials have not released details about the circumstances that led to the arrests. No information has been made public about what investigators allege took place, whether the two cases are connected beyond the timing of the arrests, or which agencies were involved in the investigation. LOWNDES COUNTY, GA — The Valdosta Police Department (VPD) said a man was arrested for sexually abusing two children in Valdosta.
Police said they were notified on Aug. 13 of possible sexual abuse that had occurred in Valdosta between the years of 2019 and 2023.
VPD said an investigation determined 40-year-old Raphael Burns sexually abused two children multiple times over four years. Police said both victims were under the age of 11 at the time of the abuse.
On Sept. 24, the report said detectives obtained arrest warrants for Burns on the following charges: 6 counts of Rape-felony; 12 counts of aggravated child molestation-felony; 6 counts of child molestation-felony; 6 counts of cruelty to children in the 1st degree-felony; and 6 counts of sexual battery on a victim under the age of 16-felony.

▫️License plate readers help free 2 child trafficking victims, police say
PEORIA, AZ — Peoria police say license plate reader technology helped crack a cross-state sex trafficking case, ending in the arrest of the suspect and rescue of two victims.
On Sept. 14, Peoria police launched an investigation into a possible child sex trafficking case involving a missing 15-year-old girl. Investigators believed the teen was being sex trafficked and was going to be taken to Florida.
Peoria PD’s Special Victims Unit located the girl in Indio, California, in an area investigators say is known for sex trafficking. With help from Indio police, the girl was safely recovered.
During the arrest, investigators say a woman found in Lofton’s car was identified as another sex trafficking victim. Lofton was booked into jail on charges of child sex trafficking and sex trafficking. He is currently being held on a $250,000 bond. Investigators say additional charges in California are pending.

▫️Thai police help two Japanese men escape scam gang
Police announced yesterday, October 2, that two Japanese men are safe in Thailand after being lured by a fake job advert, smuggled across the western border and forced to work for a call centre scam gang. Both have been recognised as human trafficking victims.
Deputy National Police Chief Pol Gen Thatchai Pitaneelaboot made the announcement alongside Provincial Police Region 2 and Kanchanaburi Provincial Police.
The rescue followed a request from Japanese officials through the SHIELD system, and they also contacted Thatchai directly. He ordered immediate coordination, in line with the policy of National Police Chief Pol Gen Samran Nuanma.

▫️Grooming gangs inquiry expanded after Bullfinch investigation
The grooming gangs inquiry has launched investigations in Wales and Birmingham.

A teaching assistant has been jailed after admitting to sexual activity with a child in his care.
Aasim Qureshi, 37, of High Park Crescent, Bradford, pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual activity with a girl aged 15 or 16.

A jailed sexual predator who abused girls while he was a police officer in the 1970s became sick behind bars with vascular dementia and collapsed in his cell following a bleed on the brain and died, an inquest heard.
James Glendenning, from Reddish in Stockport, was aged 88 and already frail when he was jailed in November 2018 for a string of sickening crimes against girls while he was a cop. A judge described his crimes as 'utterly depraved and utterly wicked'.
He was found collapsed in his cell at HMP Manchester, known as Strangeways prison, during the morning of Sunday October 29, 2023.

A woman is claiming she was a victim of sexual abuse at the Willow Creek megachurch decades ago, and she has since filed a lawsuit arguing church leadership knew about the allegation and did not do anything to stop it.

An ICT investigation has revealed the graves of 14 students who died while attending Good Shepherd Industrial School, a federally funded Indian Boarding School, from 1884 to 1891.
Just three miles northwest of downtown Milwaukee, a Catholic-run reformatory school called Good Shepherd Industrial School had served as a federally funded Indian Boarding School.
Now, an ICT investigation has revealed the graves of 14 students who died while attending Good Shepherd from 1884 to 1891. Those students – all girls – are buried in Calvary Cemetery. The ICT research further reveals that at least 11 of the 14 deceased students came from the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians and, through cemetery records, Milwaukee County death certificates and boarding school correspondence, ICT has been able to identify the names of the 14 students.

▫️Afghan national residing in Arlington sentenced to 35 years in federal prison in child exploitation case
FORT WORTH, Texas — United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Ryan Raybould announced that Badshah Sahi, a 21-year-old Afghan national, was sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for producing and possessing child pornography on Sept. 29.
Sahi pleaded guilty to production and possession of child pornography charges on April 1. U.S. Senior District Judge Terry R. Means imposed the 420-month sentence to run consecutive to his outstanding state proceedings.
“This dangerous child sex offender was recklessly released into the United States without proper vetting during the withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 and went on to prey on innocent children both here in North Texas and online,” said HSI Dallas acting Special Agent in Charge Antwoine Jones.
Sahi would pick up the minor female from outside her home in Forney and transport her to various locations to sexually assault her.

Michael Nathaniel Holland, 37, will serve out a 27-year sentence. Court documents say that in November 2024, Holland traveled from his home in Columbia, South Carolina, to Jackson to pick up a 12-year-old girl he had been communicating with via Snapchat for several months.

▫️Convicted sex offender found guilty of raping teenage girl
OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma man who was accused of raping and sexually abusing a teenager has been convicted on all charges.
In August of 2025, police were called to a home in Choctaw after a 15-year-old girl said she had been sexually assaulted by her mother's former boyfriend.
The victim told police that 53-year-old Merle Johnson entered her bedroom without permission and began sexually assaulting her. Johnson was charged with first-degree rape, first-degree rape by instrumentation, three counts of sexual abuse of a child, and child sexual exploitation.
The jury recommended a sentence of life without the possibility of parole. Johnson has a previous rape conviction out of Tulsa County from 2000 and was required to register as a sex offender, but he failed to do so.

Richard Cox, who self-identifies as a transgender woman, faces a maximum sentence of up to 60 years in jail for the new convictions, with each offense carrying a potential sentence of up to five years. The loitering charges were reinstated after the Commonwealth’s Attorney appealed a circuit court judge’s decision to dismiss the charges.

▫️Four Family Members Convicted of Running Countywide Commercial Sex Operation
VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. – Four family members were convicted of operating a years-long, countywide commercial sex operation and money laundering.
An investigation into the operation was started in 2020 after multiple law enforcement agencies received anonymous letters reporting suspected prostitution and human trafficking at massage parlors across Ventura County stated the Ventura County District Attorney's Office in a press release Wednesday.
According to the Ventura County District Attorney's Office, Xiangwei Ma was identified as the ringleader and her husband Ming Ma, her brother Xiangdong Ma, her sister Li Ma, and an unrelated man Jaime Calderon, all worked together to operate the commercial sex operation through massage businesses that served as fronts for the criminal enterprise.
The operation was conducted for more than a decade and brought in "substantial proceeds" before being shut down shared local prosecutors.
Investigators learned that the family worked together to recruit and exploit women who were foreign nationals from China while presenting the establishments as legitimate businesses detailed the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.
