Hezbollah Promises "Special Punishment"

During the funeral for Hezbollah members killed in the pager terrorist attack, “Israel” launched a second strike targeting wireless communication devices, sparking panic in Beirut's southern suburbs and other areas. These attacks are seen as part of Israel's strategy to sow fear among Hezbollah’s supporters and undermine their confidence in the group’s security capabilities while asserting Israeli military superiority.

Ahead of Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's anticipated speech, Hashem Safieddine, head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, responded, vowing "special punishment" for “Israel”, stating that "If the goal is to stop our support for Gaza, let the enemy know that the battle will only grow in strength and determination”.

Reports revealed that the pagers used by Hezbollah had been manufactured in Taiwan and rigged by Israeli intelligence before reaching Lebanon. Amid rising tensions, Israel deployed its elite 98th Division to the northern front, with Prime Minister Netanyahu reaffirming his commitment to return displaced northern residents safely. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced that "the Israeli army is now in a new phase of war."

Internationally, the attacks drew widespread condemnation, with the EU, Russia, and Egypt calling for restraint. The UN Security Council is set to convene as concerns grow over the potential for a broader regional conflict.

Israel’s War of Annihilation Against the Resistance

In today's article, Ibrahim Al-Amin analyzes the ramifications of Israel’s recent Pager Operation on Hezbollah's reputation and strength, developed over four decades of resistance. He argues that “Israel” has entered a new phase of conflict, adopting genocidal tactics similar to those seen in Palestine, yet adapted for its battle with Hezbollah.

He notes that “Israel”, anticipating Hezbollah’s support for Gaza, has used this conflict to deploy new strategies, including targeted assassinations and efforts to disrupt arms smuggling and logistical coordination with Palestinian factions. While Hezbollah has successfully dismantled Israeli espionage networks over the years, some intelligence breaches have compromised critical military information.

Al-Amin explains that “Israel” holds Hezbollah responsible for resistance activities extending from the West Bank to Iraq and Yemen, prompting a heightened confrontation aimed at neutralizing Hezbollah's capacity to support Gaza or defend itself. He also points out that this escalation with Lebanon is independent of the fluctuating intensity of the war in Gaza or international pressures that may have tempered Israel's actions in the West Bank. For “Israel”, a broader conflict with Hezbollah seems inevitable.

Al-Amin concludes that Israel's decision to target over 10,000 military and civilian individuals signals a sharp escalation, aimed at dismantling Hezbollah’s entire support network. He warns that “Israel” may be preparing for a limitless conflict, suggesting that waiting for “Israel” to strike first could prove futile.
