Israeli forces have taken control of the Mantara Reservoir, southern Syria's largest dam, in the newly occupied buffer zone near Quneitra in the Golan Heights. Military vehicles have been documented in the area, marking another significant step in Israel’s expansion within Syria.

The seizure follows a violent Israeli airstrike on January 2 near Damascus, targeting the Tal al-Shahem military site. Syrian media reported powerful explosions in the western countryside of the capital, underscoring the intensifying conflict. Israel now controls six strategic water bodies in southern Syria, including the Al-Mantara Dam.

This development is part of a broader campaign that has seen Israel secure key water sources in Syria and Jordan. Reports indicate Israel controls 30% of Syria's and 40% of Jordan's water supply.

The young man "Youssef Saleh Youssef" from the village of #Beit_Matoug located in the countryside of the city of #Banias was killed today by an armed group from the militias of the #Jolani organization #HTS (aka #alJulani ) who opened fire while he was on the road to his village, which led to his immediate death.

The young man is from the #Alawite sect and works as a barber, married and has a child.

A new investigation by @VeSyria reveals the truth about a man claiming to be a newly freed Sednaya prison survivor. He alleged his kidney was stolen in the prison, but he is actually a fraudster with a history of deceit. #Syria #Disinformation.

The man, identifying himself as "George Elias Nader," described being tortured in Sednaya prison, known as a symbol of oppression in #Syria. Adding a dramatic layer to his alleged ordeal, he claimed that his kidney was forcibly removed during his detention.

In-depth investigation by @VeSyria exposed his true identity: Maurice Michel Haddad from Wadi al-Nasara, #Homs. Maurice had never been detained in Sednaya. Records revealed he was discharged from military service in 2018 & lived freely during the years he claimed to be imprisoned.

Maurice’s kidney wasn’t stolen during detention, it was sold for financial gain, according to witnesses close to him. Even more damning, Maurice was reportedly vacationing at a resort in the Homs rural during the time he claimed to be suffering in Sednaya.

Talking to medical experts, the team debunked his claim. Analysis of his surgical scar showed it was over a year old. Additionally, organ harvesting for transplants involves highly specific protocols, including immediate transplantation, which didn’t align with his claims.

Even worse, this wasn’t Maurice’s first con. He has a long history of fraud, frequently posing as influential figures like a Syrian diplomat or a wealthy investor. Witnesses confirmed he used these fake personas to manipulate and exploit people for personal and financial gain.
