Today is the anniversary of JFK's assassination. He died on November 22, 1963.

PLM wrote an article on the assassination doing a major deep dive. I did the trailer video. Worth reading along with the article above. So many new things to learn.

I hope Trump does a full release on the remaining JFK files.

Sean "Diddy" Combs appeared again in a New York City courtroom on Friday as he continues to fight for his release on bail in his racketeering and sex trafficking case.

Combs' lawyers argued he should be released on bail and placed on home confinement in a three-bedroom apartment on the Upper East Side under 24/7 monitoring by three full-time security professionals, while prosecutors said the hip-hop impresario "cannot be trusted" to follow the rules of pretrial release.

The judge did not immediately rule but said he would have a decision next week.

Russia will continue testing and start mass producing the new "Oreshnik" missile, an intermediate-range ballistic missile that was used to target Dnipro, Ukraine, this week, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday.

"We will continue testing the latest system," Putin said at a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and representatives of the military-industrial complex. "It is necessary to establish mass production. We will assume that the decision on the serial production of this system has been made. As a matter of fact, it is practically organized."

Putin said Russia will continue testing the new Oreshnik missile system, "including in combat conditions."

"The tests were successful, I congratulate you on this. As already mentioned, we will continue these tests, including in combat conditions, depending on the situation and the nature of the security threats that are being created for Russia," Putin said.

BREAKING: The U.S. national debt surpassed $36 trillion for the first time in the nation's history on Friday as the federal government continues to accumulate debt at a record-setting pace.

New data from the Treasury Department released Friday afternoon showed that the gross national debt hit $36,034,994,586,981.97.

The $36 trillion debt milestone comes just months after the U.S. eclipsed the $35 trillion mark in late July 2024. The national debt has passed other trillion-dollar milestones in the past year, as the $34 trillion mark was reached in early January 2024 and the $33 trillion threshold in September 2023. By comparison, the national debt hovered around $907 billion just four decades ago.

🔥House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) fired off letters Friday to Attorney General Merrick Garland and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, signaling his intention to continue investigations into the Biden administration’s handling of the border.

“This letter serves as a formal request to preserve all existing and future records and materials related to the Biden-Harris Administration’s enforcement of federal immigration law,” Jordan wrote in letters to each.

The Justice Department (DOJ) pushed back on any insinuation it does not plan to keep all records.

“This Justice Department follows the law, including our legal obligations regarding the preservation of records, and we will continue to do so,” a DOJ spokesperson told The Hill.

DHS did not immediately respond to request for comment.

China's secretive $9 billion warship has been spotted in Pacific ocean from space amid fears of WWIII.

The CNS Liaoning, which is the nation's first operational aircraft carrier, was captured by NASA's Landsat 8 satellite as it was docked in the Bohai Sea and conducted sea trials.

The satellite images showed the Liaoning warship docked among other aircraft carriers at a shipyard, while a separate image showed moving out to sea.

US Navy officials have been monitoring the warship, finding its deck measures about 656 feet long and 131 feet wide, making it smaller than other Chinese carriers.

The images were taken days after US President Biden allowed Ukraine to use American missiles to strike China's ally Russia, which has led to fears that a worldwide war is on the horizon.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed an emergency motion asking a federal court to order the U.S. Department of Justice to preserve all records related to special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into President-elect Donald Trump.

The request follows his claim that a paper shredding truck was seen outside DOJ headquarters.

The Supreme Court announced Friday it will hear a case that could deliver another blow to federal agencies’ powers.

The justices agreed to take up the government’s appeal of a decision invalidating the Universal Service Fund (USF), a federal subsidy aimed at providing affordable telecommunications services to rural and low-income consumers. It spends about $9 billion annually.

A lower panel found the funding mechanism violates the nondelegation doctrine, which bars Congress from delegating its lawmaking powers to the executive branch.

Taking up the dispute enables the Supreme Court to address the scope of the constitutional doctrine after sidestepping it in recent cases. The court signaled it could do so again, however, as it asked the parties to also argue whether the case is moot.

The 2024 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade may be an attractive target for both foreign and domestic terroristic violence, according to a joint threat assessment obtained by ABC News.

Among the most significant threats facing the nation's largest Thanksgiving celebration "stems from lone offenders and small groups of individuals seeking to commit acts of violence," according to the report put out by multiple law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and New York Police Department.

There is not a "specific, actionable threat," but the document raises a particular concern about vehicle ramming, which "has become a recurring tactic employed by threat actors" looking to target crowded pedestrian areas. The NYPD will have sanitation trucks and other so-called "blocker vehicles" deployed along the route, the report states.

The parade is expected to draw 2 million spectators and 10,000 participants.

There are 17 featured character balloons, 22 floats, 15 heritage and novelty balloons, more than 700 clowns, 11 marching bands, 10 performance groups and, of course, Santa Claus to close it out. There are six new featured character balloons, including Disney's Minnie Mouse and Marvel's Spider-Man.

A recent Israeli airstrike in Syria killed a senior Hezbollah commander who helped plan one of the boldest and most sophisticated attacks against American troops during the Iraq War, according to a senior U.S. defense official.

Ali Mussa Daqduq had been captured by U.S. forces following the 2007 raid in which militants posing as an American security team killed five U.S. soldiers. But he was later released by the Iraqi government.

Details of the Israeli airstrike were scarce. It was not immediately clear when the strike took place, where in Syria or whether it targeted Daqduq specifically, the senior defense official said.

Republican lawmakers took a first step in an effort to shutter the U.S. Department of Education, a move that President-elect Trump called for on the campaign trail.

South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds introduced the Returning Education to Our States Act on Thursday.

The bill would eliminate the Education Department and redistribute all federal programs under the department.

'The federal Department of Education has never educated a single student, and it’s long past time to end this bureaucratic Department that causes more harm than good,' Rounds said.

He argued local control is best when it comes to education.

The proposal comes after Trump called for the department to be closed down in October.

"How much does it cost?" Musk asked.

"The most entertaining outcome, especially if ironic, is most likely," he followed up.
