National Security adviser Mike Waltz inadvertently added The Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg to the chat, where he has since published screenshots of internal discussions about the military’s planned attack, which was carried out on March 15.

“Look, there’s a basic rule of politics that usually is true, don’t treat everybody like they’re stupid and like they’re complete morons out there,” Psaki said. “And right now what we’ve seen, Jeffrey Goldberg obviously put out all the details on Monday, then he put out the details that included the times, the weapons, specificity. It doesn’t matter what it’s called, the game of semantics is absurd here. Anybody could’ve read that piece and seen these are details that shouldn’t be in a sensitive group chat.”

NEW: A new book by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes reveals that in 2023, aides to Kamala Harris privately "strategized around the possibility that Biden might die in office."

Democrats had reportedly worked on a contingency plan to prepare for Biden's passing.

"In hush-hush talks starting in 2023, [DNC] officials gamed out Biden-withdrawal scenarios, according to two people familiar with them," the authors wrote. "They wanted to make sure the party was ready for every possible circumstance: If Biden launched his campaign and then stepped aside before the primaries; if he won a bunch of primaries and then could not continue."

"If he secured enough delegates for winning the nomination but dropped out before winning a floor vote at the convention, and if he left a vacancy at the top of the ticket after taking the nomination," they continued.

Allen and Parnes said top Dems had worried for months about whether or not Biden would be able to go all the way through the grueling schedule of another presidential campaign.

"One official involved in secret talks put a fine point on the fear that Biden would not make it to election day as the party’s nominee: ‘It shows what we had to do to prepare with the unique circumstances we had, which was an 80-plus-year-old president who was running,'" according to the book.

And I hope someone hits him with an overhead and shows him what it means to hurt somebody,” and “go back to the tennis court, definitely good luck at Wimbledon, stay out of public health.”

Host Erin Burnett asked, “So, Novak Djokovic, the tennis star, just appeared with RFK on a tennis court together. Djokovic, of course, during COVID, wasn’t even able to play in one of the tournaments because he refused to get the COVID vaccine, right? Couldn’t play in the U.S. Open. It was an Australian Open issue. And now, here they are together. When you look at these cuts now, 25% of HHS, what does that mean for something like vaccines, even, in your state, in the state of Hawaii?”
