Question :
Assalamu alaykoum
The text im going to send right now is from a brother who still wants to listen to both of em. Can you please reply on the text below?
“First of all:
I try to be careful what I say about other people, and am not in a hurry when I hear 1 side of the story because it is important to verify things and also to hear the other side; then have we learned nothing about the story of dawud alayhisalam? Then am I not the same as a person who hears something about shaykh yahya al hajoori and does not investigate further and say about the shaykh which is not true?
Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying:
"Everything of a Muslim is sacred to a Muslim: his property, honor and blood. It is enough evil for any man to despise his brother Muslim."
[Sunan Abi Dawud: saheeh(al-albani)]
Secondly:
I am not talking about abu taymiyyah in this pdf but about tim humble and ustadh abdurrahman hassan; Allahu ahlam about abu taymiyyah and his affairs. But even about these 2 persons I am not really saying anything, I am just making general statements and allahu ahlam how you would apply them in practice regarding these 2 persons.
Third:
Suppose there is a shaykh who is well-known and he is a salafi but he has errors in aqeedah;
not all of his aqeedah, but some parts. Would you take knowledge of him?
Then why do you take knowledge of someone like ibn hajar(Rahimahullah)? Then have you heard nothing about his, may Allah forgive him and give jannah, aqeedah? May Allah reward the shaykh for his contribution to the ummah. Do you really think that every daee/shaykh to whom you listen is free from error? (no I am not calling for listening to asharis, sufis, maturidis etc; look at the context of what I mean).
I, as 3ami, don't just want to know what errors a daee/shaykh has, because they all have errors....
