Be careful not to get caught up with the current social media trend of looking for every influencer to point a finger at because they haven't spoken up to the degree of our assumed expectation. I know at times we wish people would do or say more but that in reality is simply setting ourselves up for false expectations.

In the process you can see people so emotionally reactionary that they just go off slandering others and actually feel liberated in doing so. They don't know where to draw the line beyond what is permitted.

Focus on speaking for yourself and never mind what other people are or are not doing with their voice.

I understand that some people are emotionally sincere and just upset hoping some people would say more, but again that's putting expectations in the wrong place. However, there are some Muslims on social media who just can't wait to harp on another Muslim's integrity because it makes them feel revolutionary or more Islamically bold which is why its so easy for them to slander or harp on a Muslim's integrity without even considering their own sin in the process.

In fact, some people's following on social media is built on questioning and harping on a Muslim's "integrity" and because there is enough Muslims who feel liberated and empowered in doing that, it attracts a following. So its like their daily dose of social media is the next post looking for another Muslim's integrity to pounce on.

Its so easy to get caught up especially when the world is in such a state. The emotional impact is deep. Minds are shutting down, hearts are wavering, and emotions flaring.

We are living in a time when we have to really take a step back and observe while all the emotional noise is roaring. Its not easy, but thinking before you move these days is so essential to your well-being.
