NAC is high thiol. Anyone who is sensitive to sulphur/thiol foods (onions, garlic,eggs,coffee,broccoli etc) should avoid it. Approx a third of people suffering from heavy metal toxicity seem to have an issue with thiol foods. It also doesn’t bond well enough (single bond instead of a double bond) to heavy metals to chelate properly.
