Yall wont belive what just happened!

I made it out of the all day snowstorm driving from Niagra and pulled off in some town in Ohio to stretch my legs.

Well i see this tall guy in the parking lot that just seemed...different ...
...well tailored clothes but worn ...and carefully patched in some places ... by hand, like he cared more about quality and fit than trend.

...he looked tired and soiled like he'had the same clothes on for too many days but under it all i could tell he was a Marine and had seen worse and would see better...probably traveling light for a reason

He pretended to not pay attention but his eyes had a fire in them and didnt miss ANYTHING

...i kinda felt a kinship to him.

So i went into Marshalls and bought him stuff to freshen up ...toothbrush, socks, baby wipes...even a hairbrush...everything he needed for a wHOreBO shower.

( sidenote, i didnt have daughters with me so i was aghast when it rang up to only 40 dollars ....i didnt know that was even possible... but i digress)

When i came out i tossed him the bag and said said
"Hey Boss, you look like hell and smell like FAB...help yourself to whatever you need"

He laughed and without a word stripped down between my car and the next one and it 15 degrees and a light breeze and shaved, brushed his teeth, brushed out his beard and hair and took a baby wipe "shower" right there in the parking lot.

When he was satisfied, he opened my door and got in... and spoke for the first time...and in a southern accent!

"I needed that. Now turn the heat up, Imma bout put this seat back and sleep till i wake up...When im rested, find food, then we can drive on"

i said "Whoa PAL ...whats this WE business? you got a mouse in your pocket?"

My reflection stared right back in my eyes from the rearview like he hadnt heard me ...and growled

"One more thing, dont ever call me a Whorebo again"
