FOLLOWING an intelligence-led operation, police officers led by OCS and DCIO Githunguri have successfully recovered eight Holsteins and Freshian cows stolen from a farm in Kwa Ndonga Village, Githunguri. 🐄 The cows were found at a grazing area in Juja Farm, and six suspects have been arrested as the investigation continues to follow additional leads.

The victim reported that burglars gained access at night with the help of one of his guards. They restrained two farmhands, confiscated their phones, and loaded cows worth over 2 million into a waiting lorry. 📱 The last known phone signal was detected at Miguta, which helped cybercrime detectives triangulate the mobile devices, leading them to Juja Farm. 🔍

Earlier on Thursday, another farmer lost over ten high-breed HorstensIs it Holstein and several goats in Ngochi Village, which have yet to be recovered. According to reliable sources, cow brokers pretending to be high-breed cattle breeders collaborate with Ugandan farmhands to steal from their employers and sell the cows at low prices. The cows are later returned to Githunguri and marketed on social media by these unscrupulous brokers. 🚔
