The messenger is now at the first place in the US App Store in the Social Networks category. The app currently gets .ore downloads than Facebook, WhatsApp, Threads, Twitter, Signal and Discord.
In the general ranking, Telegram is in the top 20, and among its significant competitors it is second only to ByteDance apps (TikTok and CapCut).
A Statista report shows that last year the US became Telegram's fourth fastest growing market in terms of audience growth, behind India, Russia and Indonesia.
