A quick note on honeypot detectors:
Some of them produce false positives and if they do should not be trusted to make an informed trading/investment decision by.
As we see here, the EtherTokenSpotter bot declared that AlphaDao wasn't a honeypot after the token had launched, whereas Alpha Scam Bot declared that it was a scam (in this case a honeypot) before the token launched. The latter is of course preferred both in terms of verdict and timing.
I regularly update Alpha Scam Bot so that it captures the latest tricks used by scammers, and so far it's been 100% accurate. Alpha Scam Bot will never declare that a contract is safe even if a contract passes the scam detection algorithm.
Also worth mentioning that a smart contract can breeze through a CertiK or another high authority audit and still be configured to scam.
Stay frosty 🙏
