aespa came from a combination of 'æ', “avatar x experience,” and aspect with the meaning of being able to experience a new world through another avatar of yourself.
The two types of members interact through SYNK, which brings us together as shown in the released video called “MY, KARINA” where Karina unnie introduces her avatar, æ-Karina. She also explains that the æs had existed all along in a world of their own, and one day, they will meet the real members of aespa.
