Challenging School Cashless Policies
We have been contacted by followers about challenging school cashless policies for annual contributions/school outings, canteens etc. One parent raised the point that cash is fundamental to victims of coercive control or domestic abuse. She shared her story of how the ability to pay by cash was so vital for her in the past as she had no access to a debit or credit card. This is yet another reason why we must fight back against the attempted transition to a cashless society. It seems that the banner of 'inclusivity' only applies when it suits the political agenda as we witness publicly funded bodies actively imposing policies that exclude people in our irish society. Statistical evidence also shows that people with lower economic security are less likely to have access to or use card or digital payments
