🇷🇺🇷🇸📞 On December 23, at the initiative of the Serbian Side, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.
A particular emphasis was put on resolving the Kosovo issue, with a focus on upholding the fundamental significance of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244, primarily the imperative to ensure Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Parties highlighted the unacceptable nature of Pristina's persistent obstruction of the agreements to establish the Community of Serb Municipalities in Kosovo. A common stance was articulated on the necessity to cease the ongoing terror by the Kosovo Albanian authorities against the Serbs in the province and the infringement of their fundamental rights.
Sergey Lavrov reiterated Moscow's solidarity with Belgrade in safeguarding the essential rights of the Serbian people in line with the principles of international law, as consistently affirmed by President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
🤝 The Parties discussed matters of bilateral cooperation, including those within the oil industry and other areas of mutual interest. Views were exchanged on the methods to continue collaboration, which the West attempts to hinder by imposing unlawful unilateral restrictive measures.
Both Parties expressed concern regarding the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The importance of respecting the status of the entities and state-forming peoples in accordance with the General Framework (Dayton) Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the sake of stability in that country, was reaffirmed.
