[Mussolini and Hitler speaking on the Allied criminal tactic of attacking civilian areas and monuments with aerial bombing]:
Hitler: “But there is something to be done: retaliatory measures! I am clear in my writing, Duce”
Mussolini: “I too can find no other way out. We are forced to do it. How crazy these Anglo-Saxons are! They don't understand that this is how they dig their own grave, especially the English. Or do they believe that, with their hoped-for victory, they can block Bolshevism at the English Channel? That would be short-sighted.”
Hitler: “The English are not short-sighted, but blind! But don't they notice the Russian giant? Or can't they take it anymore?"
Mussolini: “Churchill has already foreseen this danger for years. But (...) Führer, you know it"
Hitler: "Yes, I know, I know all the circumstances. But, Duce, believe me, this sword cuts on both sides. And as long as this is the case, we must not negotiate. Do you remember what I told you?"
Mussolini: “I remember it and I continue to await your understanding. We must not miss this moment. Give me your trust!”
