When stepping your foot in the cyber-security world and want to become a professional, you gotta have the certifications on your CV. If you're wondering what kind of certifications you need to have, check out chuck's video. But the thing is they are expensive and there is no way of retaking the exam if you fail. Even the seniors have few of them. Luckily, the materials are available for free starting from building your own lab to creating sophisticated pentest programs. I'll try to upload on separate channel.

So, today I was checking some freelancing platforms. To be honest, it's becoming saturated time to time. But it depends on your specializing. You see, there are tons of jobs being released each day. And I did a little experiment to check what helps on the long run. The "Niche" thing kinda helps. I typed "web" and turns out there are more than 10k+ jobs available on single platform. Some require a simple configuration like customizing themes, and some are pretty advanced stuff. However, on typical web job there are 50+ proposals that have been submitted just within an hour. If you are like top-rated or have cool reviews, you may win the job. But if you're just starting out, it's really difficult to compete with those freelancers. Next up, I typed Electron.js and only few jobs appeared. But the thing is, the job has only 5 - 10 proposals or nothing at all. I just said Electron is fairly simple to get started and the docs are really good. One of my friend spent his time learning Avalonia, and I thought he would get nowhere. Guess what, he is now working with international clients. Here's where you have a real chance. And, in my opinion, that's the way to make a decent money out of freelancing. Just choose some thing that isn't over saturated on the market, and work on that. Put your projects on your portfolio. I know someone who got his first job after 80+ proposals, I also know someone who got his first job after 2 or 3 proposals. You don't know what will come on your way. And luck is made out of hard work and persistence.

Who said DSA is easy with JavaScript 😁 Check out this book to enhance your code efficiency and gain deeper understanding of DSA with JavaScript. I know reading books is daunting, but you'll be fine once you get the hang of it. Remember, the more you sweat on peace, the less you bleed on war.
