I'll never claim to be the purest Canadian Nationalist. I grew up in Toronto (not real Canada) then lived abroad for several years. I'm certainly not the most rooted person ever (I hope to be more so in the future). But Canadian "patriots" cheering for Trump to invade Canada because he triggers liberals, that's a whole new low.
Thankfully, Trump never follows through on his rhetoric. Just like locking up Clinton, building a wall, deporting every illegal, and banning Muslim immigration, making Canada the 51st state will never actually happen.
It's just egotistical posturing on Trump's part which is to be expected. What I find depressing is how many on the Canadian right consider this a ray of hope rather than just an insult.
