I’ll never forget my first five minutes at a Scottish cultural event, many years ago. I recall walking through the gate and immediately being surrounded by lads in kilts, ladies in bodices, and edged weapons. Not far away, bagpipes were sounding. As far as the eye could see, men and women of European blood were celebrating our culture and, by implication, honoring our ancestors. My eyes immediately filled with tears of joy.

LATEST ON THE FIRE SITUATION...No evacuation imminent, but I'm going through all the stuff in my house so that if I had to beat feet out of here I could save as much of my history as possible..,In the process I discovered all my high school annuals, college stuff, Army stuff (Murphy's Laws of Combat: "Never share a foxhole with anyone braver than you are"...). Made me feel thirty years younger.

UPDATE ON WEBSITE COMING in a few hours...Sorta moving fast on a lot of fronts today!

UPSET THE RESET!

By now, just about everyone has heard about "The Great Reset" - the scheme of the internationalists to completely control the world and change the world...not to mention changing the definition of what it means to be a human being. You can learn all about it on the website of the World Economic Forum. It reads like really bad science fiction, but they're well on the way to attaining their goals.

Here's an article from my website about their endeavor, and just how truly horrific it is. If we are to succeed with the Eight Words - "The existence of my people is not negotiable" - then we are going to have to devise strategies to drive their little project off the rails. "Resistance is [NOT!] futile"...and I will go into more details on that in a future piece.

A BLAST FROM STEVE'S PAST!

Zambezi Shell, in Katima Mulilo, Namibia...Just across the border from Angola. You can find it on Google Earth. I recall sitting there for hours, hitching a ride to Bagani to meet someone who would take me across the line....With that old song about "Here I am, on the road again..." running through my head. That was back in the day when Jonas Savimbi, in Angola, was fighting the Cubans. My contact never showed up, which probably was for the best, as I had been given some really poor intel by some people in Johannesburg, possibly on purpose.

I still hate Commies, though.

Speaking of things Scottish, turns out that a lot of my DNA wears a kilt, which was news to me! I'm good with that...English and Irish, Scottish and German, a dash of Scandinavian. Plenty of fight in that conglomeration!

ODIN WORLD PRAYER DAY, AGAINST A SOLEMN SKY!

A few minutes ago, Sheila and I poured our heart-felt offerings to Odin, combining our love and devotion with that of all the other Folk doing so on this day. The background was spectacular. The horizon looked as though a nuclear device had detonated; and the air we breathed was smoke-laden and grim - a raging fire on the horizon, out of control. Our mood was mindful of Ragnarok, though, as we gave our gifts to Him.

"HAIL TO YOU, ODIN! AWAKEN OUR FOLK, LEST OUR SLEEP LAST FOREVER! LET US RISE UP AND SECURE OUR GREAT DESTINY! So shall it be, by our might and main.

EVACUATION - So far Sheila and I have not had to head out the door to escape a fire, and odds are we won't have to, at least not today...but we're keeping an eye on things...last we heard the fire pictured in my post yesterday is zero percent contained. Ironically it's named the Mosquito Fire but it's one helluva big mosquito.

A tip - If you are ever in a situation where you might need to bug out with little notice - for whatever reason; fire, tornado, pursuit by people who want to hurt you - It's good to have a list of what to grab, by priority. Take a sheet of paper, divide it into quarters and label each section with a time window: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, one hour. more than one hour. In each quarter note what you would take if you had that amount of time before shutting the door behind you.

Fire season is definitely on in California - Here's a photo taken from our home Fire season is definitely on in California...Sheila took this photo an hour or so ago. We're not in much danger from it but there's always the roll of the dice...I guess that's what people mean when they say something is "dicey," right?

Gotta say, the article on my website titled "Life is Like a Parachute Jump" is one of my favorites. I earned my jump wings and Ranger tab in the Army, and they're tattooed on my shoulder - not in a bragging way, because lots of guys have done that and much more, but as a reminder TO ME to try harder, to be better, to be a worthy wearer of those sacred symbols. I wear the ink, so I have a reputation to live up to. I'm comforted knowing that ink will go with me to the funeral fire...I was glad to see my web guy used a pic of a C-130. too.
