Australian State Cashed in Big from Enforcing Covid Rules
New South Wales has collected around $50 million (US$35 million) in revenue from fines due to breaches in Covid-19 health rules (Epoch Times)
Figures released by the state treasury, show the NSW govt has issued over 56,000 infringement notices since March 2020.
NSW recently upped fines for businesses and individuals not complying with isolation, testing and quarantine rules. These include $5K (US $3,500) fines for breach by individuals and $10K (US $7K) respectively.
