When something is obsolete, it is no longer relevant, no longer used, or is out of date. The most common way for a product to become obsolete is for it to be replaced by something new.
The Light Bulb Conspiracy combines investigative research & rare footage to trace the untold story of Planned Obsolescence, from its beginnings in the 1920s w/ a secret cartel, set up to limit the life span of light bulbs, to present-day stories involving cutting edge electronics that are purposefully made to fail & the growing spirit of resistance amongst ordinary consumers.
