🚨AN UPDATE ON TOMMY'S SITUATION🚨

@HMP_Woodhill continue to refuse Tommy access to the canteen. He is unable to stock up on tinned foods so he can actually eat.

They are forcing him into starvation.

Tomorrows visits have been cancelled even though the prison governor assured Tommy the visitation would go ahead on Friday.

Tommy has only just found out through a call to a family member who spoke to him on the phone.

The visitation was planned in two weeks ago, an email was sent to a family member today at half past one confirming the cancellation of the visit.

HMP Woodhill are acting despicably, spitefully, and with no care or consideration for the fact they continue to abuse his human rights, and, I would argue, in an attempt to break him mentally.

We will be speaking to Tommy's legal team tomorrow and come back with further updates.

🚨URGENT UPDATE ON TOMMY'S SITUATION 🚨

Tommy is in solitary confinement for a non-criminal offence.

Now, they’re trying to STARVE HIM.

The prison has banned him from ordering food for a week—his only source of nutrition, tinned tuna and mackerel—just because he spoke to his son on speakerphone when on a call to another family member.

They’ve blocked visits. Cut off phone access. He’s lost serious weight, and his mental health is deteriorating. His human rights have been breached repeatedly. This is political persecution, plain and simple.

And it's fucking spiteful.

If they go through with this on Monday, we’ll have no choice but to call a protest next week directly outside Woodhill Prison.

Enough is enough.

An east London councillor has been charged with perverting the course of justice by allegedly trying to influence a 16-year-old girl into dropping her allegation of rape.

Abdul Malik, 50, who represents Blackwall and Cubitt Town ward on Tower Hamlets Council, was due to appear at Thames magistrates court on Friday to face the charge for the first time.

Abdul Roqib, 45, is accused of contacting the 16-year-old on January 10 “to ask her to drop the charges against his son, which had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice“.

Rahela Begum, 41, is also accused of also contacting the girl on the same day to allegedly try to convince her to withdraw from the criminal case.
